Wellness Underlies All Coaching Offered at Steps to Center Coaching.

Succeeding at your career or your life requires a foundation of wellness.

My Daoist training and non-Daoist coursework* alike position me well to support you, and your team of appropriate professionals**, in your wellness journey. Core focuses of wellness include:

Nutrition;

Exercise;

Sleep hygiene;

Mindfulness;

Connection to nature;

Posture;

Muscular tone, relaxation, and self-massage; and

Somatic/energetic wellness.

*While I do not specifically qualify as a dietitian, therapist, massage therapist, or health educator (yet?), my college coursework includes: human nutrition, vegetarian nutrition, biopsychology; health education; public health; stress, coping, and well-being; neuroscience (focus on appetite); medical anthropology of addiction; global public health; emotions; biological basis of behavior, and abnormal psychology. I have certificate in acupressure massage from the Acupressure Institute. And I have taken classes in macrobiotic cooking and somatic education. I have also studied, at a Daoist temple, diet, herbalism, cupping, moxibustion, acupressure, qigong, posture work, and fasting. I have also been a research assistant on multiple relevant topics, including positive psychology, psychoneuroimmunology (looking at the effects of stress on various body system), moral development, and character education.

**Doctors, dietitians, therapists, physical therapists, TCM practitioners, etc. They have the privilege of wielding these types of expertise in our society. My domain, as a priest, is meaning. As a coach, it is scaffolding you.
