Steps to Center Coaching Is About You.
The client is the center of the coaching relationship. This is about you.
Steps to Center refers to one of the initial recitations in the Quanzhen Daoist morning recitations.
This initial recitation invokes the San Tai - which is the constellation also known as Three Leaps of the Gazelle. In Daoism, the San Tai are thought to be the steps to the Big Dipper which, in turn, orients a person towards their center. To me, this invokes of the sacredness of integrating and centering oneself. To be clear, the process is agnostic - you can orient around your Higher Self, around cognitive peace, around Jesus, or around Allah, for instance. As long as you're moving towards a more centered and compassionate self. Fundamentally, it is about the process of self-improvement.
This recitation covers all of the same themes where I view I have the most to offer a client, the following loose translation is purposefully abstracted and full of metaphor to emphasize that the process need not be constrained:
The recitation offers responsive assistance without hesitation. Like me, it aims to help the person separate from what is not working for them. Like me, it aims to help them support their somatic self (body) and their life path. Like I hope to do, it helps a person shine their own wisdom brightly. Like I hope to do, it helps a person bring peace and tranquility to their mind and spirit. And, lastly, like me it aims to supports a person in integrating all parts of themselves.
All of this is to support you finding your truth - the meaning of your life.
That is why I chose this name for Steps to Center Coaching. I hope we can do any and all of these things together, if they serve your needs.
